Your commitment to the Home of Peace Children’s Home is more than a donation; it’s a commitment to a child’s future, safety, and dignity. Thank you
We are excited to bring you several inspiring updates that your generosity has made possible this past quarter.
Safety, Love, and Privacy: The Foundation of Home of Peace. When a child arrives at Home of Peace, they are officially placed with us by the Department of Children’s Services. They arrive from heart-breaking backgrounds—some orphaned due to disease, others abandoned after families in tiny, impoverished villages reached their absolute limit. We have welcomed children as young as three who were forced to beg or steal to survive.
While these stories are powerful, we hold them close, we prioritize the children’s right to privacy. They are not exhibits; they are brilliant, resilient kids who deserve to control their own narrative.
Thanks to you, their story now focuses on a positive future:
- A stable, safe home and medical care.
 - New clothing and a sense of belonging.
 - The life-changing opportunity of school.
 - Unconditional love from a dedicated staff.

We believe many of these children will grow into significant leaders—doctors, nurses, pastors, and community shapers. We are committed to ensuring their challenging past does not wait online to haunt their promising future.

This month, we celebrated another milestone that embodies the mission of Home of Peace. Francis, one of the first children to grow up here, has officially graduated from university with a Bachelor of Science in Public Health!
When Francis turned 18 and was due to transition out of the home, one kind sponsor stepped forward to cover his entire four years of university tuition. This degree is a testament to Francis’s hard work and the power of continuous support. He is ready to enter the world and apply his education to better his community.
As a children’s charity we cannot sponsor anyone once they have turned 18 and left Home of Peace. Individual people can choose to do that which is what happened in the case of Francis giving him a chance for better life with a university degree.
More victories made possible by You ; Your gifts continue to solve essential, everyday challenges for the children:
Sweet Dreams on New Mattresses

For nearly eight years, our children slept on the cheapest mattresses we could find—long past their useful life. We knew they needed replacing but lacked the funds. Then, in an incredible testament to the Lord’s provision, a wonderful supporter sent us a large, unprompted donation that covered this need. Our staff have also dismantled all the beds and done the necessary repairs and varnished them to protect them.
Praise God for meeting this need!
Water is Certified Safe!
For years, our staff fought a daily battle to pump water over a mile from the river and purify it with chemicals. That struggle is officially over!
Last year, you helped us drill our own borehole, providing reliable, clean water right on site. Last month, we received confirmation that The Health Department certified our water as 100% safe for domestic use for the next two years!
This victory means: Healthier Children and More Time for our staff to focus on caring for the kids instead of labouring over water collection and purification. Thank you for providing this life-changing safety and convenience.

Daniel is continuing his week-long chemotherapy sessions at Moi Teaching and Referral Hospital. He is currently in the middle of his fifth cycle and will need a sixth cycle in a couple of weeks.
Daniel has been bravely fighting Nasopharyngeal Carcinoma. His journey has been long—literally and emotionally. The hospital is a long way from Home of Peace, requiring a gruelling four-hour journey each way. A dedicated staff member always accompanies him, providing vital support. So far, the treatment is working.
Please keep Daniel in your prayers. Pray for complete healing, for endurance for the staff member walking this journey with him, and for the financial provision needed to cover the mounting costs of his intense care, including transport, accommodation, and medical supplies.
The hardest and most costly time of the year is fast approaching.
We have many additional expenses around the corner that are vital to the children’s well-being and education:
Christmas Celebrations: Celebrating the birth of Jesus means a lot to our children and staff. Every year we give them a special meals and a gift of clothing for every one of our children and every member of staff and we also give a small gift so that the staff children can each have something new to wear for Christmas. A week later they all have another special meal and a fun day to celebrated New Year.
The New School Year: Immediately following the holidays, we face the annual costs of education: school fees, books, equipment, and new school uniforms for children who have outgrown theirs or are changing schools, repairing and replacing the bicycles our secondary students rely on to get to school. School expenses in January cost us at least £12,000. We currently do not have the funds.
If you have been considering increasing your support, now is the perfect time to make a profound difference.
