OVERVIEW

We are committed to protecting your privacy.
We will only use the information that we collect about you lawfully.
The only information we collect about you is when you contact us asking for information.
We use your details in order to reply to your request.
If you support the work financially we will store your name and email address on our mailing list so that you can be kept informed of what we do with your money and what is happening at Home of Peace.
If you ask us we will delete all your records.
If you are a UK Tax Payer and Gift Aid your donation we will keep a copy of the Gift Aid declaration as required by HMRC
You have the right to request a copy of the information that we hold at any time. We aim to respond within 3 working days to such requests.
If you have said that you want to pray for this work we will have your name and email so we can send you prayer information.
We do not ever pass on your details to anyone else without your permission.
We do not even receive your bank details or your card details so these are never held by us.
If we ever have a data breach we will notify everyone who may have been exposed.

Who We Are

T.L.C. Children’s Trust is a UK Registered Charity (1156786) and gathers and processes your personal information in accordance with this privacy notice and in compliance with the relevant data protection regulation and law. This notice provides you with the necessary information regarding your rights and obligations and explains how, why and when we collect and process your personal data.

T.L.C. Children’s Trust act as the data controller in the collection, use, storing, protection and transfer of your personal information. The designated Appointed Person for the charity is Raymond White.

T.L.C. Children’s Trust processes your personal information to meet our legal, statutory, charitable and contractual obligations and to provide you with our services. We will never collect any unnecessary personal data from you and do not process your information in any other way than already specified in this notice.

Where we consider that information, additional services or support may be of use to you we may contact you with details through newsletters or direct e-mailshots, you are free to withdraw such consent at any time.

  • We collect and store your personal data as part of our legal obligation for business accounting and tax purposes
  • We have a legal obligation to share your personal data with HM Revenue & Customs when reclaiming Gift Aid on any donations

We do not share or disclose any of your personal information without your consent, other than for the purposes specified in this notice or where there is a legal requirement.

We work hard to protect you and your information from unauthorised access, alteration, disclosure or destruction and have several layers of security measures in place.

You are not obligated to provide your personal information to T.L.C. Children’s Trust, however, as this information is required for us to provide you with our services, we will not be able to offer all of our services without it.

How Long We Keep Your Data

T.L.C. Children’s Trust only ever retains personal information for as long as is necessary and we have strict review and retention policies in place to meet these obligations.

We are required under UK tax law to keep your personal data for a minimum of 6 years in relation to any donations made by you, after which they will be destroyed.

Where you have consented to us using your details for sending you newsletters, we will keep such data until you notify us otherwise and withdraw your consent.

We will keep data as part of the legitimate activities of the charity

Lodging A Complaint

T.L.C. Children’s Trust only processes your personal information in compliance with this privacy notice and in accordance with the relevant data protection laws. If, however, you wish to raise a complaint regarding the processing of your personal data or are unsatisfied with how we have handled your information, you have the right to lodge a complaint.
