Update on Daniel’s treatment for cancer

I promised to keep you updated on our 14 year old Daniel from Home of Peace.
His condition has been confirmed as Nasopharyngea Cacinoma  with intracranial  extensions.

Sadly the prognosis for nasopharyngea carcinoma with intracranial extension is typically poor but early detection and aggressive treatment may improve outcomes.

Keep him in your prayers!!!!!

The picture above shows his discharge notification,(Carefully redacted obviously) and a picture of Daniel with Ben our staff member who was with him the whole time he was in hospital.

Daniel was brought back to Home of Peace yesterday. The journey took 5 hours having left the hospital at 6am and reaching Home of Peace at 11am.

Daniel is stronger than we expected. He is on medication and requires a special diet at this stage.

On Sunday he needs to return to the hospital for his next cycle of Chemotherapy. He is expected to be there for 3 days coming back on about the 18th.

So far, the costs is approx. £1,500 but it will no doubt increase, plus there is the  cost of transporting him to the hospital and having a staff member stay there for his extra care as previously explained. This time Selina, our Dormitory Manager, who is also one of our Nurse Aids, will be going with him.
